Privacy Policy — Quack & Snack

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile game Quack & Snack ("the App", "we", "us") handles information when you play. We built the App to be fun and respectful of your privacy. We do not sell your personal data.

1. Information we collect

• A username you choose — only if you opt in to the global leaderboard. It is shown publicly next to your high score. You can stay anonymous by not setting one.
• Gameplay data — your scores, level reached, coins, streaks and achievements. Most of this is stored only on your device; your high score and chosen username are stored in our backend so the leaderboard works.
• A random anonymous account ID — created automatically (Firebase Anonymous Authentication) to associate your leaderboard entry with your device. It is not linked to your real identity.
• Usage & diagnostic data — aggregate analytics and crash reports (Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics) that help us fix bugs and improve the game.
• Advertising identifiers — the App shows ads via Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising identifier to serve and measure ads. On iOS we ask for App Tracking Transparency permission first.

2. How we use information

• To run core features: scoring, the global leaderboard, daily challenges, streaks and cosmetic skins.
• To diagnose crashes and improve gameplay and balance.
• To display advertising that helps keep the game free.

3. Third-party services

We rely on the following providers, each governed by their own privacy policy:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Analytics, Crashlytics) — firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Google AdMob (advertising) — AdMob & Google partner policies

4. Advertising & your choices

You can limit ad personalization through your device settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking / Apple Advertising; Android: Settings → Google → Ads). On iOS you may decline tracking when prompted.

5. Children

Quack & Snack is a family-friendly casual game and is not directed at children under the age required by your local law for data collection without parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Data retention & deletion

Local game data lives on your device and is removed when you uninstall the App. Leaderboard entries (username + high score + anonymous ID) are retained so the board stays accurate. To request deletion of your leaderboard entry, contact us at the email below with your username.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures provided by Google Cloud / Firebase to protect stored data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
